EstimatorPosition OverviewThe Estimator will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase, responsible for accurately estimating project costs and ensuring competitive bidding for various commercial construction projects. This position requires a strong understanding of construction processes, pricing strategies, and the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects. Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine scope of work and required materials. Utilize On-Screen Take Off software to enhance the accuracy of estimates. Conduct market research to stay informed about current pricing trends and labor costs. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to develop bid proposals and strategies. Prepare and submit hard bids for projects in line with client requirements and deadlines. Engage in private bidding processes where necessary, providing competitive yet profitable pricing. QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as an estimator in the commercial construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations. Proficiency in estimating software, particularly On-Screen Take Off. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
