Project Estimator

JOB RELATIONSHIPS: Works with Project Managers, Sales staff, and Suppliers Reports to Department Manager Operations Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year POSITION SUMMARY: We are an agricultural company seeking a candidate who can accurately estimate project costs and generate offers to prospective customers based on information received from sales team and knowledge of standard industry practices. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Review drawings and specs and discuss project requirements with all involved parties. 2. Liaise with Sales and Project Management teams to ensure all job requirements are met. 3. Generate offers which detail our scope of work and account for all costs associated with our scope of work. 4. Monitors job status, identify any problems, and adjust estimates accordingly. 5. Maintain internal records, tracks material costs, and ensures deadlines are met. 6. Track building cost per square foot to show trends. 7. Keep up to date with industry trends and changes. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Ability to read and interpret technical documents. 2. Experience drafting, interpreting, revising or otherwise working with contracts. 3. Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills, and very strong math skills 4. Highly organized and detail oriented 5. Precise oral and written communication skills. 6. Proficient in Microsoft Window’s applications (Word, Outlook, Teams) 7. Microsoft Excel experience including building formulas, importing/exporting data, and developing macros. 8. Experience with CRM and ERP programs RELATED EXPERIENCE: 1. Construction management 2. Building Manufacturing 3. Drafting / Construction detailing Some travel will be required.
