Procurement Analyst

Purpose Statement: The purpose of a Procurement Analyst is to provide direct support to the procurement staff in the replenishment of ingredients and product. The Procurement Analyst will write and adjust orders, maintain inventory objectives, and serve as a communication liaison between staff and third-party warehouses. Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: Analyze and summarize reports (front page, sale, warehouse, slow turn, and new item analysis); communicate findings to Management Utilize Microstrategy to analyze sales and categories as a means to keep Procurement Team Informed Execute purchasing objectives while communicating with vendors Manage ingredient GP% and execute any activities needed to make improvements Identify and implement adjustments needed to ensure sound inventory Assist Procurement Team in ongoing research projects Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Essential Functions The core functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Utilize Microstrategy to analyze sales and categories as a means to keep Procurement Team informed Execute purchasing objectives while communicating with vendors Identify and implement order adjustments needed to ensure sound inventory Assist Procurement Team in ongoing research projects Conduct post-ad analysis for product moving out of the warehouse Analyze and summarize reports and communicate findings to division leadership Assist in creating strategies and action plans to improve purchasing functions and activities Contract compliance review and analysis Assist in developing new insights through the analysis of internal and external data sources Craft compelling, fact-based presentations for audiences with different levels of experience and seniority Complete cost analysis, bid analysis, and other financial reviews as necessary Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, or business related filed Supermarket or other retail experience (minimum of two years preferred) Prior inventory and/or warehouse distribution experience desired Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet aggressive deadlines Well-developed computer skills; must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SAP Strong customer service and leadership skills Written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Experience with project planning and/or project management Strong attention to detail Working Conditions & Physical Demands Ability to sit at desk for prolonged periods of time Ability to adhere to the company's four day in office work requirement Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this position is $59,020 to $76,128. Placement in the range depends on several factors, including experience, skills, education, geography, and budget considerations.
