LocationLocation: 4 days REMOTE, 1 day @Reston, VAClearance RequirementsApplicant must possess an active Top Secret security clearance and be eligible for immediate SCI nomination and indoctrination. Must be a U.S. Citizen.OverviewWe are seeking an experienced CIO Operations SACO for a position supporting Information Management & Technology Directorate (IT) Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) located at Ft. Belvoir, VA.ResponsibilitiesThe following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign additional duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.Direct administrative and action officer support to the DTRA Chief Information Officer and his executive staff.Work in coordination with administrative staff to manage scheduling and coordination of calendars, meetings, official visitors, conferences, travel arrangements, etc. Keep senior leadership and Directorate staff informed of relevant organizational cludes working in close coordination with other IT leadership and Directorate personnel; synchronizing and coordinating efforts across all IT teams; providing coordination and liaison with other contractors assigned to DTRA IT to facilitate decisions by leadership; organizing and de-conflicting meetings and action responses; assisting in strategic, tactical, and operational planning for DTRA IT-CIO.Perform complex tasks involving the gathering, analyzing, and compiling of data and information into well-written reports and presentations, to support decision making.Review, screen, control, maintain records, and coordinate responses on incoming correspondence.Distribute and track DTRA IT action items to appropriate program and Directorate staff elements.Draft and edit technical documents, reports, white papers, etc. related to IT operations.Manage multiple projects and priorities, and initiate follow up to ensure timely achievement of commitments.Manage flow of correspondence, presentations, and emails; classified and unclassified.Edit and produce final copy of formal correspondence, correspondence summaries, briefings, reports, and a wide variety of other analytical, process flow, spreadsheets, and documents.Finalize travel arrangements utilizing the Defense Travel System (DTS); follow up with expense reimbursements, receipts tracking, etc.Evaluate, integrate, analyze, and interpret information in conjunction with other DTRA staff terface with other support services including internal and external organizational POCs.QualificationsSupported Technologies:SharePointMicrosoft Office to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Required Skills/ Qualifications:A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in a technical field, or minimum 5+ years of experience working in an operations and/or administrative capacity, and minimum of 3-5 years in a government IT organization or environment supporting cyber, network operations, systems engineering, or software development.Experience working in support of command level leaders and decision makers from Government, DoD, Service, or Joint national security headquarters staff or equivalent.Experience and understanding of IT operational environments; ability to assist the government with drafting and editing technical documents related to IT Operations.Experience must include project coordination, calendar management, meeting planning and business document creation.Experience at an advanced level using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint applications as well as use of the internet and web applications.Demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task and manage multiple competing priorities.Strong interpersonal skills with a track record for effectively operating and engaging with leaders & employees at all levels of the organization.Desired Skills/ Qualifications:Flexible in a mission-focused environment where priorities constantly change.Excellent written and oral communication skills and experience developing and presenting complex information to senior Government officials using Microsoft Office Suite applications.Experience with the Defense Travel System (DTS).Extremely organized, with high attention to detail.Problem solver and critical thinker.Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Physical Requirements: Employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Most positions require ability to work with a computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and providing recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds.
