Stationary Steam Engineer – BrewsterRead on to find out what you will need to succeed in this position, including skills, qualifications, and experience. Brewster Cheese is looking for a full time Stationary Steam Engineer. Persons with a high pressure boiler license are encouraged to apply. You will work with a Stationary Steam Engineer to acquire turbine knowledge with the expectation to pass the Station Steam Engineers exam within 6 months of hire. Must be hard working, detail oriented, and drug free. Wage and BenefitsStarting labor rate of $26 - $28/hr.Shift differential of $1.00/hr. for 2nd shift and $0.45 for 3rd shift·Full Time 2nd and 3rd shiftResponsibilities:· Operate and maintain boilers, steam turbine, and associated equipment in a safe and efficient manner · Monitor boiler operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal performance · Conduct routine inspections and perform preventive maintenance on boilers · Troubleshoot and repair boiler malfunctions or breakdowns · Maintain accurate records of boiler operations, maintenance activities, and repairs · Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures · Collaborate with other team members to coordinate maintenance activities Skills:· Strong knowledge of boiler operations, steam turbines, and maintenance procedures · Ability to fabricate, install, and repair boiler components · Proficient in analyzing boiler performance data and making adjustments as needed · Familiarity with low voltage and high voltage electrical systems · Excellent customer service skills for interacting with clients and addressing their concerns · Experience in field service or industrial electrician roles is preferred Note: This job description may not encompass all responsibilities, skills, or qualifications required for the position.
