We help people of all ages plan ahead for the curveballs life throws at them.This Position:As a Probate Paralegal, you will help families by overseeing the Probate Experience, preparing petitions, and explaining the process. We are interested in Paralegals who have a Paralegal certification (comparable work experience considered). This person should have Georgia Probate knowledge/experience. Compensation:$60,000 base + Incentives Responsibilities:The primary responsibilities are to own and manage the Probate experience by ensuring client needs and Probate deadlines are met timely manner and go as smoothly as possible.Owns client probate and guardianship experience, overseeing all cases to ensure timeliness on all deadlines are metDraft, revise, proofread, and finalize legal documentsDraft petitions and ensure appropriate types are createdEnsure legal documents are prepared timely manner and meet required deadlinesServe as the point of contact for basic client questions that do not require an AttorneyComfortable with a heavy case load (40+)Perform other tasks as needed Qualifications:Georgia Probate knowledge- requiredExperience with discovery, litigation, mediation, and trial prep- requiredFlexibility and the ability to multitaskStrong drafting and writing skills, including great attention to detail and proofreadingExcellent communication skills, including using appropriate tone and professionalism when engaging with clientsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentA self-starter with a positive attitude, resilient emotional intelligence, strong work ethic, and good judgmentAttention to detailProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software About Company Nelson Elder Care Law was founded in 2014 to provide residents of Georgia with dependable counsel and representation in matters of elder law.
