You’ll have the opportunity to shape the financial success of some of New England’s most unique and beloved properties, in a culture that values transparency, innovation, and community.Job SummaryDirect the finance and accounting team, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, compensation recommendations, coaching, and disciplinary actionsOversee the month-end closing process and ensure timely preparation and review of P&L statementsPartner with the Regional Director of Finance to execute year-end closings and financial reportingPrepare and assist in producing financial documents including cash flow statements, income statements, budgets, and forecastsConduct financial analysis and advise Managing Directors and General Managers on business performanceMonitor and manage cash flow statements and projectionsOversee bank account management, including monthly reconciliations, payroll funding, payments, transfers, and disbursementsMaintain and review the General Ledger to ensure accuracy and complianceEnsure timely and accurate submission of sales, use, and occupancy tax returns and other required external reportingSystems, Compliance & Internal ControlsAssist with implementation, training, and ongoing management of accounting software and systemsServe as the lead trainer for new finance team members, including onboarding and system access setupCollaborate with the Regional Director of Finance on annual budget preparation and financial forecastingDevelop, maintain, and enhance internal control procedures and finance department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Ensure payroll process compliance with federal and state regulations in collaboration with EOS Centralized PayrollSafeguard all legal, treasury, and tax documentation while ensuring compliance with all statutory, fiscal, and governmental reporting requirementsMonitor adherence to debt and management agreement covenantsCoordinate property audits and respond to governmental and regulatory inquiries, including IRS mattersTeam Leadership & DevelopmentProvide leadership, direction, and professional development opportunities for finance team membersLead recurring finance meetings with property leadership and EOS Finance representativesFoster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork, creativity, and continuous improvementModel professionalism and maintain high standards of conduct and performanceOperational SupportPerform and oversee all accounting functions including AP/AR, journal entries, and General Ledger management when necessaryExecute additional accounting tasks and projects as assigned by EOS Finance or operational leadershipEnsure compliance with organizational policies including workplace safety, emergency procedures, security, anti-harassment, and workplace conduct standardsPhysical RequirementsAbility to remain seated and work on a computer for extended periods (up to 8 hours)Ability to perform repetitive keystrokes and manual entry tasks for up to 8 hoursAbility to effectively communicate and exchange information verbally and in writingMust complete a background checkTechnology And EquipmentMicrosoft Office including Outlook, SharePoint, Word, and Excel programsAdobeProperty Management System (Stay in Touch)Point of Sale System (Toast)Printer/Copier/Scanner & Fax MachineAccounting software (ProfitSword & Acumatica)Labor Management Software (Hotel Effectiveness)Time Keeping & Payroll Software (UKG)Working EnvironmentVarious hotel resort properties and full-service restaurantsWork will primarily take place in an office environment with work from home offered on a semi-regular basisGroup and solo workKey Skills & Experience Required4-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or relatedMinimum of 5 years working in a related accounting positionExperience in hospitality industry highly preferredPrior leadership/supervisory experience with demonstrated experience managing and mentoring staffSense of humor, balanced by sound judgmentAbility to manage multiple projects at a time, strong time management and organizational skillsAbility to build strong, highly collaborative relationshipsAdvanced in ExcelStrong analytical skills with attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbout Kennebunkport Resort CollectionThe Kennebunkport Resort Collection is a portfolio of diverse, luxurious lodging and dining options offering stylish and unique hospitality in Kennebunk and Kennebunkport.
