Your impact The Field Engineer is responsible for assuring compliance with all specifications, standards, codes, and drawings. The Field Engineer is the liaison between the field and the Project Engineer. All contact with the Project Engineer will be coordinated through the Field Engineer first, and then as necessary the Construction Manager. The Field Engineer is responsible for all field engineering activities, document control, and on some projects for cost control and scheduling and will be supported by the appropriate staff. They will assist the Site Inspection group in their activities. They will also determine that all required documentation is available prior to scheduled commencement of construction activities. The Field Engineer's duties include the following: * Verify that all Project drawings and documents are maintained at the site office. * Confirm that current drawings and specifications have been distributed to Contractors and that configuration management and document control are being maintained. * Provide technical support to the field contractors for drawings, specifications, procedures and vendor instruction interpretation. * Initiate and manage the RFI and Field Change Notice procedures. * Oversee survey and mapping activities. * Maintain daily reports relative to engineering and quality assurance items. * Require compliance with applicable specifications, drawings and standards. * Supervise and coordinate on- and off-site third party testing activities. * Prepare and maintain vendor/supplier back charge log, ensuring full documentation and notification of all involved parties. * Participate in the resolution of inspection problems concerning vendors, engineering, government regulatory agencies and subcontractors' QC representatives. * Provide spot surveillance of all craft disciplines to verify that high quality standards of workmanship are maintained. * Provide coordination with field QA/QC on all hold points for the work. (e.g., walk downs, pre-inspections, pre-hydro inspections, post hydro inspections, etc.) * Assist the Lead Construction Manager in constructability reviews. * Attend weekly project coordination and construction meetings. * Participate with the Lead CM in construction completion walk downs. Coordinates with the Pipeline Field Inspector on closeout of construction, commissioning, and system turnovers. * Assist and receive the initial Project system Turnover Book(s) from the PM and coordinate with the Pipeline Field Inspector to compile required inspection and approval signoff sheets. #epjobs #naepjobs Here's what you'll need Level Minimum Requirements * 5+ years relevant engineering experience with Program Construction, Project drawings and documents, quality assurance and reporting * Ability to demonstrate the unique technical skills and core competencies for this engineering level established & documented by the organization. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
