Tax Manager (Hybrid)

Job title: Tax ManagerLocation: Columbus, Ohio office (hybrid)Compensation: 120-150K base + bonusesWe are a mid-sized public accounting firm looking for a Tax Manager to join our team in a hybrid work environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing tax compliance, managing the tax department, and ensuring that all tax reporting is accurate and timely. This role requires strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of tax regulations, and the ability to mentor junior staff members.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.Review tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.Supervise and mentor junior tax staff and provide guidance on complex tax issues.Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities as needed.Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company's tax position.Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax planning.Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting or tax-related roles, with a focus on compliance and planning.Previous supervisory experience is preferred.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Benefits4 weeks PTOFull benefits + 401K matchOther cool perks
