Primary Job Title: EHS Specialist Coordinator Alternate/Related Job Titles:Environmental Health and Safety SpecialistSafety & Compliance CoordinatorPlant EHS TechnicianLocation: Dallas, TX Onsite Flexibility: 100% Onsite (MondayFriday, 7 AM4 PM CST (Flexibility required for early/late shifts))Contract Details:Position Type: Contract (Temp-to-Perm Potential)Contract Duration: 3 to 6 monthsStart: 08/06/2025End: 12/31/2025 Job Summary:The EHS Specialist Coordinator supports the implementation, execution, and maintenance of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) systems at a leading manufacturing plant. Reporting directly to the Director of EHS, this role works collaboratively with corporate EHS, plant leadership, and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with safety standards, drive sustainability initiatives, and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement. The role is crucial in maintaining regulatory compliance, managing incident investigations, and reinforcing safety processes and training.Key Responsibilities:Lead and monitor EHS initiatives across plant operations.Guide environmental, health, and safety activities across one or more facilities.Reinforce corporate EHS policies and safe working techniques.Monitor and report on EHS metrics and compliance indicators.Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal EHS regulations.Manage training programs, including onboarding and ongoing EHS training.Conduct audits and inspections to ensure safety and environmental compliance.Coordinate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to address deficiencies.Support capital project planning and sustainability efforts.Record and analyze incidents using the Gensuite EHS system.Liaise with vendors, SMEs, and regulatory bodies as needed.Participate in hazard analyses and operability studies.Partner with HR on Workers' Compensation cases.Ensure implementation of Corporate EHS systems and applications.Required Experience:Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, or related field (preferred)Minimum 1 year of EHS program management experience (preferred)Experience with Process Safety Management and OSHA/EPA regulationsFamiliarity with PPE, industrial safety engineering, and risk mitigationStrong verbal and written communication skillsProficiency with Google Suite and other standard computer toolsOrganizational skills and confidentiality awarenessAbility to work flexible hours and travel as neededNice-to-Have Experience:CSP, ASP, CIH, or CEP certificationsExperience in manufacturing environments or capital project supportKnowledge of Management of Change (MOC) and EHS auditsHazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies involvementRequired Skills:OSHA/EPA regulation knowledgeEHS incident investigation and audit experienceStrong interpersonal and team collaborationPreferred Skills:Proficiency with the Gensuite EHS systemProcess Safety Management knowledgeHands-on safety training and documentation managementCommunication with vendors and regulatory agenciesAdditional Skills:Environmental permit monitoringSustainability operations supportRisk assessment and corrective action planningBenefits:Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans401k Retirement FundAbout the Client:Leading roofing manufacturer in North America offering high-quality products and exceptional customer service.
