DescriptionAWS Finance seeks a Senior Finance Analyst to support the growing AWS Public Sector business. As part of the Regions Finance team, they will provide strategic decision support, evaluate service pricing, drive P&L analysis and controllership to a wide variety of stakeholders across the business.Specifically, this position will be responsible for AWS Regional Pricing decisions for new and existing public sector regions. This role will evaluate pricing decisions and deliver data-driven insights to improve financial outcomes, playing a key role in building scalable pricing models and enhancing our finance tooling. This position will require working closely with finance management as well as key partners across the AWS organization, including product managers, engineering leaders, sales and business development leadership.This role requires a self-starter with a strong financial modeling background, problem solving skills, a keen attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations. This role has regular interaction with various business units across Amazon and requires strong people skills.The successful candidate must be able to think strategically, perform dive deep analytics, and communicate effectively to senior management.Key job responsibilitiesLead key analytical projects to assist and influence the businessMaintain and enhance service P&L models and financial metrics for existing AWS Public Sector regions, and build out reporting and analyses when new regions launchDeep dive data to drive pricing accuracy and alignment with infrastructure strategiesCommunicate frequently and effectively with business leaders, using timely and accurate financials to help drive business decisionsAnalyze new business ideas, make analytical judgments, and provide data intensive analyses to drive meaningful changeBasic Qualifications3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experienceBachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)Due to the nature of work performed, this position requires that the selected candidate be able to obtain a Security Clearance and thus be a U.S. citizen.Preferred Qualifications3+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experienceExperience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysisExperience with cube engine tools (e.g. TM1, Cognos or Essbase), SQL and Data warehouseExperience working with stakeholdersAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
