OverviewJoin ENERCON as a Part-Time Principal Electrical Engineer. We are seeking experienced Electrical Engineers at the Principal level to contribute their expertise on a flexible, part-time basis. A typical day may include developing design studies, preparing engineering calculations & analysis, attending project meetings, performing a walkdown, or mentoring junior employees. You will also need to:Collaborate Across Disciplines: Act as the bridge between engineering teams, ensuring seamless integration and coordination across all project disciplinesShape Project Success: Develop innovative design studies, define project scopes, and create accurate engineering estimates to drive project excellenceMaster Procurement & Installation: Draft detailed specifications for electrical equipment, evaluate technical bids, and select top-tier solutions to meet project needsPerform Precision Calculations: Execute essential electrical calculations that form the foundation of successful designs and installationsThink Creatively: Bring fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to solve complex technical challenges and push projects forwardBe Hands-On in the Field: Travel to project sites, conduct walkdowns, oversee installations, and support start-up activities to ensure quality and complianceLead and Inspire Teams: Foster a positive, goal-oriented environment with your motivational leadership style, empowering teams to achieve success QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent in related field for the position and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experienceExperience in one of the following industries required: engineering/design services, power generation, nuclear power, heavy industrial including chemical or pulp & paper, and government (DOE) projectsExperience in electrical codes, standards and criteria for power systemsDemonstrated proficiency in preparation of electrical calculations is desiredMake recommendations based on knowledge and experienceProficient in Microsoft SuiteExcellent writing, presentation and communication skillsAbility to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teamsCandidates who have mentorship experience or a desire to mentor early to mid career engineers preferredMust be able to perform plant walkdownsMust be able to get badged at a nuclear facility Pay RangeUSD 90,000.00 - USD 177,450.00 /Yr.
