Base pay rangeBase pay range$46.66/hr - $50.00/hrSenior Manufacturing EngineerDirects and coordinates fabrication, installation, operation, application, maintenance and repair of mechanical or electromechanical machines, equipment, tools, engines and systems. Ensures that quality levels and industry standards are maintained or improved in the manufacturing process. Oversees installation, operation, maintenance and repair of equipment such as centralized heat, gas, water and steam systems. Evaluates mechanical products to determine their cost effectiveness and efficiency. May evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions.This is an individual contributor role that requires the use of judgement in applying professional expertise and is expected to work independently with minimal supervision. Roles typically require a university degree or an extensive amount of practical knowledge gained through experience. The job requires an understanding and application of procedures and concepts of own discipline. The job requires attention to detail in making evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual information. This job typically requires a degree or equivalent and a minimum of 2 or more years experience.What you will doAs the Senior Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering you will work with Production, Design Engineering, Quality Assurance, Purchasing, and other cross-functional groups to improve the manufacturing process. You will use modern engineering methods and various analytical tools to reduce flow time, incorporate upgraded manufacturing technology, improve quality, reduce variability, and reduce the risk of personal injury.Additional responsibilitiesBe responsible for resolving manufacturing issues from root cause to the most apparent symptomsParticipate in the development and implementation of reliable methods, working across functional groupsDevelop and implement new manufacturing processes and conceptsDevelop and maintain process documentationDevelop best practices and implement across all productsDesign, conduct, and develop reports for experiments to characterize and validate new or changed manufacturing processesTrain assemblers in new manufacturing processesBalance the production lineJustify, specify, order and coordinate the installation and qualification of tooling and equipmentEvaluate product designs and facilitate DF(X) improvementsDetermine appropriate material presentation and packagingImprove ergonomics of manufacturing methodsPerform other related duties as assignedWho we wantSelf-directed initiators.
