Adjunct Lecturer - MA in Sustainable EnergyFounded in 1943 and a Johns Hopkins division since 1950, The Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies of the Johns Hopkins University (SAIS) has been educating global leaders for more than eight decades. As a top-ranked graduate institution with a distinguished faculty, SAIS consistently ranks as one of the top schools of international relations in the world.Johns Hopkins SAIS invites applications for an Adjunct Lecturer to teach in the online Master of Arts in Sustainable Energy program. This is a remote, part-time teaching opportunity beginning in Spring 2026, with preparation work starting late Fall 2025.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with an instructional designer from the Educational Design & Instructional Technology team to develop the online course: Sustainable Energy & Climate Change.Engage students in a dynamic, interactive, and rigorous online learning environment using the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) and other technologies.Serve as the instructor of record for the newly developed course at least two times over future terms, to include: developing and delivering engaging course content, facilitating online class discussions, and maintaining accurate records of grades, attendance, and academic performance.QualificationsAt least five years of deep and demonstrated expertise in energy transition and climate policy is essential.Prior teaching experience, especially with strong student evaluations, is highly preferred.Experience teaching in online format is a plus.EducationA Ph.D. is preferred but not required; candidates with relevant professional experience are encouraged to apply.Application InstructionsApplications MUST be submitted using Interfolio and include a cover letter, curriculum vitae or resume, evidence of teaching effectiveness, and contact points of three references.To apply for this position, visit: /174531Equal Opportunity EmployerThe Johns Hopkins University is committed to equal opportunity for its faculty, staff, and students.
