The Senior End User Computing Engineer is responsible for leading the design and engineering of enterprise solutions that support end user computing across the firm. End user computing includes the Operating System, Application Delivery, patch management, and application updates. This role includes strategic development and disbursement of end user computing, documentation, enforcement of security policies, and management and maintenance of the centralized deployment applications.Contribute technical expertise to architecture design of endpoint management solutionsLead complex projects involving enterprise-wide OS migrations and hardware refreshesParticipate in cross-functional projects with minimal supervisionCoordinate with multiple teams and departments to implement, maintain, and enhance a common end user device experienceFunction as a resource on projects including new hardware images, Windows, Mac and O365 upgrades and other projects involving updates to software on End User devicesManage and administer endpoint management platforms (Intune, SCCM, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, JAMF, VDI) including engineering software packages and deploymentsCreate, manage, and maintain standard images and standardized deployment processes for end-user devicesAutomate and improve End User computing processes through scripting and process optimizationServe as the main point of contact for the centralized configuration and patch managementServe as a subject matter expert for Microsoft 365 and modern workplace technologiesServe as technical escalation point for complex endpoint issues, researching problems and implementing solutionsDesign and implement endpoint security policies aligned with firm-wide cybersecurity initiativesPartner/collaborate with application and security teams to develop a secure technical environment and endpoint security strategyAssist and train Technical Support Analysts and other IT staff on the troubleshooting and resolution of End User computing issuesWork with 3rd party vendors and outside consultants on technical implementations and solutionsCreate and maintain design documentation including knowledge articlesContribute to department strategic planning and technology roadmap by researching industry trends and evaluating new technologies that improve end user productivityParticipate in budget planning and vendor evaluation for endpoint technologiesWork independently and under the supervision of the Systems DirectorOther duties as assigned to fully meet the requirements of the positionCommunication:Understands the importance of and demonstrates verbal, written, and non-verbal communications.Customer/Client Experience:Creates a consistent and exceptional experience for others, whether directly to external clients/customers or indirectly through internal support, that elevates the overall perception of the anization & Planning:Proactively takes actions, finds solutions, and displays skills to be efficient and productive.Team Player:Works within team and cross-functionally to meet required results.Supervisory Duties (if applicable):This position has no direct supervisory duties. This individual will mentor junior IT staff and provide technical guidance across the department.Job Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certification):Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or other relevant degree, or direct related experienceMinimum of three (3) years of enterprise-level experience managing endpoints in a corporate environment with 500+ users including Microsoft and iOS operating system application deployment, configuration, and managementMinimum five (5) years of IT experience with end user computing hardware and business applicationsExperience leading technical projects or mentoring team members preferredAdditional Technicalcertification(s)(i.e., M365 EAE, AZ-Admin)preferredExtensive knowledge and experience withMicrosoft Endpoint Manager & JAMFExtensive knowledge and experience with VDIExperience with MacOS, iOS and AndroidExperience with Windows 11 deployment and managementExperience with modern management approaches like Windows Autopilot and Apple Business ManagerExperience implementing Zero Trust principles and endpoint security solutionsExtensive knowledge of Group Policy (GPO) administrationExtensive experience with Microsoft IntuneExperience managing Microsoft 365 services and applicationsAdvanced PowerShell scripting and automation experience requiredProficiency in PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, and automation frameworksKnowledge of conditional access policies and device complianceExperience supporting remote/hybrid work environmentsDemonstrated excellence in organizational abilities, ability to prioritize and follow up on open issues and projects with a sense of urgencyAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of the business including peers, technical management, and/or external vendorsPhysical Requirements:While performing the duties of this position, the employee must have the ability to sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time; manipulate (lift, carry, move) weights of at least ten (10) pounds; have repetitive wrist/hand/finger movement to work on a computer and/or related office equipment; speak clearly and concisely so listeners can understand; and regularly understand the speech of another person.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by this position to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The Colorado salary range is $87,392.95 - $145,654.91 annually.
