Freelance Apparel Designer Location: Dearborn, MI (Hybrid Onsite) Duration: 1–2 weeks (short-term) Hours: 10–40 per week Pay Rate: $30–55/hr. About the Role We are seeking a Freelance Apparel Designer to support seasonal design needs on a short-term basis. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to apparel design projects in a fast-paced, hybrid environment based in Dearborn, MI. The ideal candidate is a creative designer with strong technical skills and an eye for detail, able to translate concepts into polished designs that align with brand standards. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute apparel designs that reflect seasonal trends and brand direction Create detailed technical sketches, CADs, and presentation boards Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align design with product development and production needs Assist with fabric, trim, and color selection to support design concepts Ensure accuracy and consistency in design details, specifications, and handoffs Qualifications Proven experience as an Apparel Designer (freelance or in-house) Strong portfolio showcasing apparel design across categories Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and design software Ability to balance creativity with technical accuracy Strong time management skills and ability to work within tight deadlines Availability to work onsite in Dearborn, MI on a hybrid schedule
