This role focuses on pre-sales activities, including Microsoft partner engagements and service offerings.The Microsoft Solutions Consultant will report to the Director of Microsoft Digital Innovation. Microsoft Solutions Consultant is expected to spend time interfacing and building relationships with existing and potential SHI customers, the SHI Microsoft sales team and other internal support organizations. They will assist in the adoption, education, advisory services, and effective use of Microsoft solutions. The Microsoft Solutions Consultant must be a continuous learner and curious about current and future Microsoft cloud technologies.Role DescriptionBuild and maintain relationship with Microsoft Customer Technical SpecialistsIdentify gaps in the market and spot opportunities to drive customer SHI valueLead internal training sessions on Microsoft cloud technology from engineering and sales perspectivesEngage with Microsoft support resources to ensure efficient and accurate communication with customersConsult on Microsoft cloud products, implementation, and adoption strategiesDevelop demos for popular Microsoft use cases to drive professional services engagements, licensing upsells, and customer adoptionDeliver Microsoft Partner-led pre-sales engagements around Azure initiativesAchieve technical and administrative Microsoft Certifications as neededDocumentation and updates of opportunities within corresponding SHI internal toolsSkill Level RequirementsAbility to self-study and independently improve job-related knowledge and skillsHighly motivated and organizedAbility to multitask and prioritize accordinglyExcellent communication, collaborative, and presentation skillsStrong problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skillsHighly focused on customer solutions and satisfactionStrong consultative sales skillsAbility to facilitate technical discussions and break down complex solutionsMaintain strong understanding of Azure infrastructure, platform services, migration strategies, security best practicesCreate short- and long-term cloud migration strategy based on best practices and organizational goal alignmentPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with CJIS, HIPAA, NIST, and other relevant industry standards, compliance, and initiativesHistory of delivering MCI Partner-led engagementsExperience with workload migrations into AzureExperience securing Azure resources according to best practicesStrong knowledge of Azure governance, reporting, and optimizationCertifications:Certification Required within 180 days of hire:Microsoft Certified: Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate, ORMicrosoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, ORMicrosoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate, ORMicrosoft Certified: Information Security Administrator AssociateOther RequirementsAbility to travel up to 10%The estimated annual pay range for this position is $100,000 - $190,000 which includes a base plus bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
