Managing Director, Office of Apple Health & Homes and Permanent Supportive Housing (WMS Band 3)Join to apply for the Managing Director, Office of Apple Health & Homes and Permanent Supportive Housing (WMS Band 3) role at State of WashingtonThe Department of Commerce is seeking a Managing Director to lead the Office of Apple Health and Homes and Permanent Supportive Housing. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the Legislature’s directives to coordinate supportive services and provide stable housing to people experiencing complex disabling conditions, including chronic homelessness and behavioral health conditions.Core ResponsibilitiesEnsures that the Office of Apple Health and Homes is established and operated in compliance with the requirements set forth in HB 1866.Views all work to be done through an equity lens to identify areas of concern and make recommendations that address racial and ethnic disparities.Sits on the Apple Health and Homes Workgroup created by HB 1866 and convened by the HCA, which provides feedback to HCA on the Foundational Communities Supports and other supportive services programs.Coordinates with Behavioral Health Organizations and their providers, Wellpoint, and the contracted Foundational Community Supports providers, supported employment and housing providers, and other public and private stakeholders to perform the key tasks associated with the Office of Apple Health & Homes and Permanent Supportive Housing.QualificationsRequired Education, and Experience: Nine Years Of Experience And/or Education. Experience must include a minimum of two years of supervisory experience and demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the principles of the Substance Abuse Mental Health Service Administration (SAMHSA) evidence-based practice permanent supportive housing fidelity.Preferred/Desired Education, Experience, And Competencies: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to understand and work with state budget and accounting systems, and knowledge of public systems that serve individuals with behavioral health challenges.Our Commitment to Equal OpportunityThe Washington State Department of Commerce is an equal opportunity employer.
