Are you ready to be the architect behind the future of global satellite communications?We are seeking a senior hands-on Principal Satellite Systems Engineer to serve as the Chief Architect for cutting-edge User Terminal (UT) products. This is a critical individual contributor role for a subject matter expert (SME) who is passionate about designing complex SATCOM systems from the ground up. Including Ku/Ka-band phased arrays, RF systems, and next-generation 5G NR-NTN modem technologies.This is your chance to define the future of satellite connectivity while collaborating with some of the industry’s top engineers and innovators.What You’ll DoArchitect next-generation SatCom systems by defining UT system specifications and developing end-to-end satellite terminal architectures.Lead design trade-offs for Ku-/Ka-band phased array chipsets and array antennas, ensuring optimal performance and cost efficiency.Work on 5G NR-NTN modem integration, enabling seamless interoperability with next-gen satellite networks.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align hardware, firmware, and software architectures into cohesive, high-performance systems.Define production-ready calibration methodologies for phased arrays and oversee coverage, test planning, and requirements flow-down.Support in-field testing and system validation to ensure reliability and compliance.Act as the technical authority bridging customer requirements with advanced engineering solutions.What We’re Looking For10+ years of experience in satellite communications systems, RF design, or phased-array architectures.Strong expertise in satcom RF systems design, performance simulations, and phased array chipsets.Experience with 5G NR-NTN waveforms and modem integration.Proficiency with requirement management tools (Jama, DOORS, Jira, etc.) and modeling languages (MATLAB, Python, C/C++).Why Join Opportunity to lead architecture and systems design for advanced SatCom user terminals Competitive base salary up to $220K + annual bonus Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and wellness perks Hybrid work model + professional growth opportunitiesVivid Technology is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all qualified candidates. #J-18808-Ljbffr
