Central Market - Non-Perishables Director - San Antonio Join to apply for the Central Market - Non-Perishables Director - San Antonio role at H-E-B. Overview This position reports to the General Manager and leads operation and execution of all areas of Production and Sales across Non-Perishable, Perishable, and Food Service departments to delight customers, satisfy partners, and meet company objectives. Responsibilities Lead operation and execution of all areas of Production and Sales in Non-Perishable departments (grocery, dairy, frozen foods, Healthy living, bulk foods, gift baskets), Perishable departments (Produce, Meat Market, Seafood Market, Floral), and Food Service departments (Kitchen, Cafe, Prepared Foods, Cooking School, Bakery, Deli, Cheese). Make employment-related and business decisions with independent judgment or effectively recommend such decisions, including hiring, promotion, discipline, suspension, discharge, rewarding, or resolving Partner-related matters. Direct multiple departments to include merchandising, product mix, product costs, and supervision of Partners via department managers; provide overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the unit. Ensure that all federal, state, and company regulations and standards for product freshness, safety, refrigeration, and sanitation are met. Supervise daily management of Non-Perishable, Perishable, and Food Service departments and merchandising via department managers and self; maintain vendor relations and communicate Central Market expectations. Responsible for employment interviews, performance appraisals and partner feedback; train and develop partners; provide superior customer service. Requirements Strong supervisory and management skills relative to successful operation and execution of all areas of production and sales across Non-Perishable, Perishable, and Food Service departments. Long-term strategic and financial planning skills. Bachelor's degree, one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with automated reporting systems (inventory, food cost, scheduling, time & attendance, and labor) preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to champion new ideas and initiatives; value diversity; handle stressful situations; analytical, organizational, and planning skills; ability to prioritize and delegate; proven ability to develop teams.
