Job DetailsAdministers accurate ionizing radiation to patients in accordance with prescriptions and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist. May or may not be called upon to perform the duties of CT/Simulation Technologist.Job DescriptionESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:* Correctly identifies the patient using two identifiers. In house patients' wristbands are used as an identifier. Other identifiers are name, DOB, driver's license, and a patient photo.* Delivers approved and accurate radiation treatment prescribed by the radiation oncologist.* Checks for signed treatment consent by the patient or patient's representative and the attending physician.* Performs morning warm up (calibration) on treatment machines.* Verifies radiation treatment machine to be in working order (within machine tolerance levels).
