5 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsThis position is responsible for implementing operational strategy and leading all Operations, Customer Support, Delivery, Engineering and Administration efforts within the plant and surrounding area. Specifically, the General Manager must ensure effective teamwork between operations, delivery, logistics, and sales and service. Responsibilities of this position include establishing, implementing, and following effective operational policies and compliance with company standards to ensure continuous improvement related to a balanced metric scorecard approach in the areas of safety, quality, cost, deliver, people and growth within Division's operations.The General Manager oversees the Plant Manager for all shifts and is also responsible for working with the Controller, Vice Presidents, and President in financial addition, the General Manager is the primary liaison with Customer Executives in the market.Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesRecruit and build a high performing operations team, as well as consistently reinforcing teamwork among team membersBuild motivation among team members in order to achieve Company financial targetsLead all Operations, Customer Support, Administrative, Engineering and Delivery employees in the plant or at the customer's location(s) in order to accomplish the goals and objectives of the CompanyDrive results of the strategic business operations plan through continuous improvement and leadership accountability in the following areas: safety, quality, delivery, cost, people and growthBuild, maintain and promote positive relationships with Service and Sales personnel to ensure the highest levels of product quality, service, and customer satisfactionResearch, plan and manage plant costs including linen, labor, utilities, transportation and production supplies, in order to effectively manage company assets within budget while maintaining a highly efficient operationBuild positive relationships with all employeesEnsure company development initiatives are carried out to their fullestThe position requires the ability to communicate in person, telephonically and via email.Financial and operations reportingCapital Expenditure PlanningSupervisory ResponsibilitiesThe General Manager is responsible for supervising Team Leads, Production Supervisors, Assistant Plant Managers, Plant Managers, Rental Manager and all production related employees.Minimum Qualifications5+ years management experience at a General Manager level or higherExcellent business acumen, strategic planning, multi-tasking and problem-solving skillsAbility to effectively interact with customers, suppliers and employeesProficient in MS Office productsProven knowledge, experience and a history of success in operational managementExcellent interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)·Knowledge of laundry or other processing equipmentPreferred QualificationsBroad leadership experience in a healthcare services settingTravel RequiredThe General Manager position requires occasional travel. Employees are responsible for creating and submitting expense reports each week for expenditures incurred during travel.Physical Requirements·Reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching to handle/file documents·Frequent use of telephone and fax·Ability to move inside or outside of the office space to access file cabinets, copy machines, attend meetings·Ability to wear PPE as required in visiting specific plant and customer areas·Ability to climb and access stairs and ladders to survey plant and customer locations· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.· Required to wear and use personal protective equipment as required by job task based on hazard assessment.· Ability to hear for safety and awareness of surroundings.· Must be able to meet the physical demands for the entire shift.This position exists primarily within the plant environment, with periodic office work.
