We provide systems engineering, integration, and advanced technology services to transform the future safety, security, and resiliency of critical missions on the ground, in the air, in space, and in the information systems that connect these domains.ENSCO's MSG (Mission Systems Group) is recruiting a senior engineering and support staff supporting the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense, Research and Engineering Branch (OUSD/R&E). We are currently seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) (Integrated Network Systems of Systems (INSS)) experienced in supporting technical, managerial, or operational fields. Mature judgement required in order to interface with external stakeholders and senior government personnel.The SME for Integrated Network Systems of Systems (INSS) will support the Principle Director (PD) participation in the Joint All-Domain Command & Control Cross Functional Team (JADC2 CFT) and the C3 Leadership Board as well as related working groups.Responsibilities include:Support the maintenance of technology roadmaps related to subsurface, sea, land, air, space, EW, and cybersecurity systems.Coordinate roadmaps with key stakeholders, including DoD leaders, the Services/Agencies, and other key partners.Refine and update S&T roadmaps based on feedback from stakeholders and changes to technology development investments.Assist in the development, maintenance, and integration of modernization tech roadmaps to their PD.Support the development of strategy documents, DoD Instructions, or other Department documents.Assist and prepare presentations and reports to DoD leadership, outside agencies, Congress, Industry, Academia, and Professional Societies.Track department-wide budgets for efforts aligning with their respective PD.Prepare and conduct meetings related to your Principal Director's focus area Integrated Network Systems of Systems (INSS).Qualifications Required:Master of Science or Engineering Degree in a relevant STEM discipline with a minimum of 14 years of relevant experience.Recent experience in military communications systems engineering, protected RF communications, high data rate laser communications, smart networking, and/or other relevant technologies.Background in layers 1 through 7 (PHY through application) of the OSI 7-layer model.Ability to work with Universal Command and Control (UC2) language for Machine-to-Machine (M2M) Command.Experience in developing and demonstrating mission capabilities to define and address technology gaps within the National Defense Strategy (NDS).Previous experience with Department of Defense RDT&E mission and processes.Previous experience in engineering, analysis of alternatives, integration, requirements, and testing.Experience with Cross-Domain Solutions (CDS).Excellent writing, communication, and briefing skills.An active DoD TS/SCI clearance is required for this position for which you must be a U.S. Citizen.Qualifications Desired:PhD in STEM with 20 years’ experience in the subject matter.DoD or National Capital Region work experience.Experience supporting senior government civilians and/or military.Required Certifications: NoneU.S. Citizenship Required: YesSecurity Clearance Required: TS/SCIEmployment Type: Regular Full-TimeBackground Check Type: 7 Year Pre-EmploymentDrug Screen Required: NoPosition Contingent Upon Contract Award: NoSalary Range$137,113.60 - $240,271.11 USDREAL ID RequirementThis position may require the ability to access to U.S. federal facilities.
