Join us on this revolutionizing adventure!Key job responsibilitiesRoleIn this role you will leverage your engineering background and expertise in ML to lead developing foundational behavioral model for Amazon Stores using LLM and Large Model training techniques. On a day-to-day basis, you will:Lead the design and implementation of a stable and efficient training infrastructure that scales to a large model size and hardware such as GPU.Collaborate with other talented applied scientists and engineers to develop an improved training infrastructure that accelerates innovation.Quickly learn cutting-edge technologies and algorithms in the field of Generative AI.Basic Qualifications5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experienceExperience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering teamExperience in developing machine learning pipelines, developing large language model or natural language understanding models.Preferred Qualifications5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experienceMaster or PhD in Computer Sciences, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics with specialization in machine learning, deep learning, or natural language processingExperience with CUDAExperience with Pytorch or TensorflowExperience with distributed trainingAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Los Angeles County applicants: Job duties for this position include: work safely and cooperatively with other employees, supervisors, and staff; adhere to standards of excellence despite stressful conditions; communicate effectively and respectfully with employees, supervisors, and staff to ensure exceptional customer service; and follow all federal, state, and local laws and Company policies. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
