Contract: PermanentSalary: $150,000 per year + great benefitsAs the Hotel Manager of the Dupont Circle hotel, you will be responsible for maintaining consistent standards of service and ensuring guest satisfaction while creating a work environment that supports organizational values. You will contribute to the profitability of the Hotel through the operation of effective cost controls and stock monitoring.This position requires proven excellent experience and success, at a senior management level, within the Rooms Division; Food and Beverage operations; and Revenue forecasting and management.Your key responsibilities will be to:Assist with the management of the hotel operation, ensuring delivery of exceptional guest service from each departmentProactive plan to ensure each department's preparedness based on an awareness of business in the HotelEnsure prompt resolution of customer complaintsEnsure all costs are controlled without compromising standards and service deliveryEnsure awareness and compliance with all Health Safety work practicesEnsure support of the hotels core values (Patrons, People, Product and Profit) alwaysAssist with developing strategies to increase market share – both food and beverage and roomsDrive the performance of the operational departments, ensuring the team delivers the highest quality in relation to Forbes, LQA and Doyle Collection Brand StandardsManage staff. Interviews, trains and schedules the staff. Conducts Performance Evaluations and disciplines staff when needed.Ensures communications and follow-up on any problems, guest requests or special requirements.Resolve customer complaints, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible. Responds to all guest requests in an accurate and timely manner.Ensures the financial goals are being met. Monitors and controls labor expense and other divisional expenses such as Uniforms, Linen, Guest Supplies, Contract Services, etc.Participate in the coordination of rehabilitation and capital improvement projects in partnership with Property Operations and other departments.
