Within the department, the IATA Identity Services team provides the aviation industry with coding and identification services which power a globally connected travel ecosystem. We manage airport codes, airline codes and travel seller identification and verification solutions on behalf of the wider travel industry.You will manage IATA’s products and services for the standard identification of travel professionals across the value chain. This covers existing well-established products such as the IATA / IATAN ID Card, as well as new product development related to digital identification and expansion into new segments.What you will doDefine and execute product strategy in collaboration with IATA teams and industry stakeholdersStrategic product management and development of the next generation industry professional identification services, including the IATA / IATAN Travel Agent ID Card, and migration to a world powered by digital identitiesDevelop go-to-market strategies and support marketing and sales activities to ensure product and financial targets are achievedDeliver product enhancements with prioritized features in line with defined roadmapAct as a leader in the employee digital identification space within IATA and the industryExpand portfolio into new industry segments as based on market research and industry knowledgeWork with the operations and customer service teams ensuring smooth day-to-day operationsManage strategic vendors to support existing travel professional identification initiatives as well as new activities that support the product roadmapEngage closely with IATA and industry stakeholders and participate in industry forums to promote the value of industry professional identification and related personnel identity verification servicesMaintain full P&L ownership for the portfolio including managing budgets, forecasts, and financial reportsPerform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisorQualifications and experienceUniversity degree (Bachelor or Master) in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing or equivalentExperience in commercial or product management, preferably within the airline industry, loyalty programs, or the broader travel and tourism sectorProven experience creating partnerships in the travel, loyalty, or cargo industriesKnowledge of identity management solutions and hands-on experience with implementationOutstanding presentation and communication skills with ability to transmit messages effectively and conciselyStrong leader, comfortable in managing multifunctional teams and external suppliersStrong interpersonal skills, ability to build sustainable relationships with stakeholdersComfortable in public speaking and influencing key stakeholdersAttention to detail and an ability to sift through data to derive thoughtful insightsFlexible, innovative, and can-do mentality and the ability to work in a complex, business critical and high-profile commercial environment and in ambiguous situationsFluency in written and spoken English, other languages desirableThis is not a remote position; the successful candidate will be required to work three days from the officeTravel Required: YLearn more about IATA’s role in the industry, our benefits, and the team at IATA careers.
