OverviewDirector US Sales & Business Development Manager - Chicago, ILDepartment/Function: Investor RelationsAbout the Role: In this role, successful candidate will be responsible for expanding our current domestic business, identifying, and capturing new clients. The successful candidate will need to work collaboratively with our onboarding, compliance & risk teams, together with the senior executives to execute commercial strategy.ResponsibilitiesDrive the marketing and sales efforts and ensure that activities are conducted both professionally and effectively, and in accordance with agreed budgetsWork with the Compliance teams to ensure all marketing and sales activities operate in accordance with appropriate legal and regulatory obligationsEstablish effective and beneficial relationships for the companyMonitor key trends and developments among prospects and peers alikeMake recommendations to Management about industry developments and advocate action plans to pursue opportunities and/or address threats to the companyWork with all areas across the company in a collaborative fashion to expand the existing Marketing and Sales Plans for the companyParticipate in the weekly Sales meetings to discuss relevant topical issues and to record progress with prospects and discuss new leadsEnsure appropriate record keeping and reports are maintained regarding the activities of the departmentMaintain knowledge and expertise in appropriate areas of the businessParticipate on the Global Leadership TeamQualificationsFutures and Options industry experience in a client facing role is essentialBroad understanding of global futures and options exchanges/F&O products is essentialKnowledge of clearing processes and procedures is essentialKnowledge of customer connectivity solutions for trading listed derivativesAware of regulatory responsibilitiesExpertise in presenting to clients and/or other stakeholdersHolds a broad knowledge of differing client types and/or industry segmentsEffective interpersonal skillsAble to adapt communication style as needed, using a variety of presentational skills and techniquesCapable of developing and working within a controlled budgetAbility to travel occasionallyRequired SkillsLeadership: Delegates effectively, takes responsibility for task and gives direction, guiding and inspiring others to achieve success for the businessManaging Work, Planning and Organizing: Is organized and structured; Plans and prioritizes effectively; Sets realistic timescales and milestones, and monitors progress against goals; Moves rapidly in the face of changing priorities; Can work under pressure without losing effectiveness or reducing the effectiveness of othersMarket and Competitor Knowledge and Application: Ability to follow market developments and know what the competition is doing; Ability and motivation to expand and share one’s own technical and professional expertise and knowledgeExcited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed?
