Summary of Job Responsibilities: The staff physician in the clinical track is responsible for providing outpatient care to GI and Hepatology patients at Uhealth Doral and/or Solé Mia in North Miami (9 half days). Solé Mia is opening in Fall 2025. The physician will provide outpatient clinical and endoscopic services, including screening procedures for Gastroenterology/Hepatology. Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Maintain outpatient clinic and endoscopic procedures at Uhealth Doral / Solé Mia Rotate on night and weekend on-call duties at UHT and JMH, proportionate to other physicians Rotate on inpatient services at UHT or JMH, proportionate to other providers Qualifications: MD Degree with ACGME US internal medicine internship and residency, and GI fellowship Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine (or eligible) Board Certification in Gastroenterology / Hepatology (or eligible) Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligibility to apply (must have license prior to credentialing) Valid DEA licensure Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred Must provide prerequisite case logs for procedures performed in the prior two years for credentialing Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques Maintain CME to meet licensing requirements Excellent clinical knowledge and experience to ensure safe, quality patient care Timely communication within 72 hours The University of Miami offers competitive salaries and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, tuition remission, and more.
