There is professional autonomy, including lines, within team model in an award-winning hospital; also, there are close, collaborative working relationships and access to high acuity cases outside academics. Help will always be available. *Awards** A 12-year recipient of Watson Health’s 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals award * Ranked by Healthgrades as the No. 1 cardiac program in Texas for six consecutive years *Case Assignments* Open hearts, electrophysiology lab, endovascular, NORA, and general surgery. No OB, peds, or neuro. In 2022, there were 680 pump cases, 250 TAVRs, 65 mitral clips. *Shifts* Contact us for more information**Team***Leadership* Yutake Wajima, Chief MD *Team* *Highlights*9 CRNAs, 4 MDs on staff **Requirements***Responsibilities** Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department* Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures* Pre-anesthesia assessment* Obtains and/or verifies patient consent* Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia* Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition* Performance of clinical intervention as needed*Requirements** M.D./D.O.
