In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients while working both independently and collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team. This position requires strong diagnostic, assessment, and treatment skills as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Duties and ResponsibilitiesExamine and diagnose patients, order appropriate diagnostic tests, and prescribe medicationsWork closely with patients and their families to help them understand their cancer diagnosis, treatment options, and the potential side effects of treatment.Lead a cancer treatment team of various healthcare professionalsCoordinate treatment plans and prescribe various types of treatment, including chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapyRespond to medical and oncologic emergencies in clinicsActively participant in the Department of Medicine and the Division of Medical Oncology by attending Divisional meetings, tumor board, and Department of Medicine Grand Rounds during your administrative timePerform bone marrow biopsies and other procedures as needed.Health, Dental and VisionPTO, employee assistance programFull support staffRequirementsBC/BE in Hematology OncologyCurrent Florida State Medical license or willing to obtainCandidates with interest in clinical research and medical education are encouraged to apply. #J-18808-Ljbffr
