OverviewWe are seeking a full-time comprehensive ophthalmologist to provide medical and surgical eye care in a busy ophthalmology practice. The position offers a well-paid full-time opportunity with potential for partnership and practice ownership. The candidate should be a skilled cataract surgeon capable of handling a high volume of cataract cases. Our experience indicates conversion to premium IOLs and FLACS is achievable at around 45%, creating opportunities for enhanced revenue for the successful surgeon. The practice consists of five comprehensive ophthalmologists, a part-time retinal specialist, and two optometrists, with an affiliated Ambulatory Surgical Center and a 12-lane office that includes an optical dispensary and 25 supporting personnel in a major metropolitan area.ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive medical and surgical eye care.Perform high-volume cataract surgeries and manage post-operative care.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a busy practice setting.Contribute to a potential partnership and practice ownership path.Engage with a diverse patient population and adapt to a fast-paced environment.QualificationsCompletion of an approved residency with ABO eligibility or certification.California medical license required to begin work.Strong ethical standards, hard-working, mature, and capable of handling a full patient load.Proficiency with electronic medical records; ability to work relatively independently.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; fluency in medical Spanish is a plus.Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment caring for a full patient load.Application DetailsReview of applications to begin immediately.
