OverviewMarin City Health and Wellness Center (MCHWC) is looking for an experienced, dynamic clinician to work in Marin City and Bayview Clinics. These clinical sites provide comprehensive family health services including family planning and prenatal care. Working closely with the CMO, the Lead Health Clinician is responsible for providing high-quality primary care, building collaborative teams, and developing clinical services based on the needs of our patient community. The ideal candidate demonstrates commitment to working with vulnerable populations and has prior primary care and leadership experience.Marin City Health & Wellness Center (MCHWC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides innovative health and wellness services with the goal of African American health equity. We believe a patient’s zip code should not impact the quality of care they receive. Through clinic sites in Marin County and San Francisco, and our new site in San Rafael, we provide wrap-around services for children, adults, and seniors, including medical, dental, behavioral health, substance use and homeless services. Marin City Health and Wellness Center is an eligible Federally Qualified Health Center in the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program.ResponsibilitiesDevelops and maintains clinical programs to deliver high-quality health care to our patientsIn coordination with the clinical and operational leadership, provide input on the impact of clinic programs and policies on our patients and staffMaintain existing and establish new partnerships with community partners serving our patients and their familiesMaintain a working partnership with Marin Health and UCSF, in addition to other healthcare partner organizationsAssist in the development of patient care policies, protocols, and procedures related to provision of health care servicesIn cooperation with the Chief Medical Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Quality and Risk Manager, contribute to the implementation of a comprehensive quality management program related to family health services, including regular medical audits, protocol reviews, peer reviews, and tracking and reporting on appropriate clinical measuresOngoing involvement in provider and staff recruitment and retention effortsProvide direct patient care, with a standard of excellence appropriate for a clinical leaderProvide patient follow-up and referrals as neededProvide health education and counseling to patients, in a sensitive and supportive mannerQualificationsFor CNM, and FNP, current California license, including furnishing licensePast work experience in leadership roles or positionsDemonstrated medical clinical skillsInterest in working with a diverse patient population in a community-based organization and sensitivity to their needs and health problemsAbility to communicate effectively and work with individuals from a wide range of ages, socio-economic, ethnic, racial backgrounds, and disabilitiesSpanish language ability an assetAbility to work well independently under minimum supervisionValid California driver's license, automobile, and automobile liability insuranceExperience with electronic health records, specifically Epic and/or eCW strongly preferredCommunity health clinic background preferredExperience as part of a team-based care model preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
