Pettis Memorial Veterans Hospital is recruiting for a Full-Time, Permanent, Physician (Endocrinology & Metabolism) and reports directly to the Chief of Endocrinology.We are seeking an experienced Physician. You must be an excellent communicator and team player who is adaptable to the needs of a growing medical center. The selected candidate will be considered for a faculty appointment at Loma Linda University and University of California Riverside and will be involved with the education and teaching of medical students, residents & other providers. Loma Linda VAMC is among the VA Medical Centers in the Western U.S. and has been improving the health of the men and women who have so proudly served our nation.ResponsibilitiesThe position is full-time based at the VA.The VA and University programs are intimately integrated, and the University teaching hospital is geographically adjacent to the VA Medical Center.Patient care and supervision of Internal Medicine Residents in the outpatient clinic and on the inpatient consult rotation.On-call responsibility nights, weekends, and holidays, as clinical duties are prehensive consultative clinic is available for patient referral.A wide range of patients, including those with diabetes, thyroid disorders, and non-diabetic endocrine disorders are evaluated and treated.Work up, diagnosis, and provision of non-surgical treatment and consultation for both patients admitted and on an outpatient basis.Treats patients having diseases related to hormones and the endocrinal glands.
