We support you.Technology and digital platforms allow our clinicians to focus on meaningful work and reduce friction in your practiceInnovative care models improve access and free providers to focus on our patientsAll employees have a Strongline silent alarm badge to help you be - and feel - safer at workThe RESET program is a multi-day immersive retreat designed for clinicians, fostering personal and professional growthQualificationsType of Opportunity: Full Time FTE: 1.000000What We’re Seeking:Physician Assistant with surgical experience working in the OR, inpatient rounding, and pre/post-op care in the clinicOutstanding patient care qualities, highly motivated with an interest to increase knowledgePatient-focused and willing to collaborate and work in a team environmentAbility to obtain a medical license to practice in the state of New MexicoPhysician Assistant - Baccalaureate prepared CAHEA Certified Physician Assistant or two (2) years working experience as a Certified Physician Assistant, and licensed by the New Mexico Board of Medical Examiners required. Minimum of two years experience.ResponsibilitiesSummary: Assists Physicians during general surgeries. Post-operatively rounds on patients and manages patient care in the office setting.Responsibilities:Serves as Floor PA to start patient rounds and visit and manage patientsPrepares post-op patients for discharge (prescriptions, teaching, post-surgical teaching) and dictates discharge summariesChecks all outstanding labs on in-house patientsResponsible for seeing post-op patients in the officeResponsible for seeing pre-op patients in the office and ensuring H & P's, data sheets, pre-op orders & labs are completedAbility to interpret MRI, CT & other imaging and accurately convey information on patients to physiciansServes as On-call PA to check out with on-call surgeon at end of dayServes as Weekend call PA to meet with on-call surgeon at designated locationPerforms other functions as requiredBenefitsWe offer more than the standard benefits!Presbyterian employees gain access to a robust wellness program, including free access to our on-site and community-based gyms, nutrition coaching and classes, wellness challenges, and more!
