Optometrist - Full Time

GENERAL FUNCTION:We are seeking a Full Time Optometrist to join our team at this locally owned Pearle Vision franchise. We are located just north of Lawrence on North Clark St. We opened a brand new location on March 2019 and have grown quickly in the past five years. We believe in great patient care and providing the doctors time to build a rapport with their patients. Our current hours of operation are Monday through Friday 10am to 7pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm. We are closed on Sundays.MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Conduct eye exams using optometric equipment including a digital phoropter and general diagnostic interpretation.Diagnose and treat ocular disease.Prescribe, fit, and adjust eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision aids.Recommend appropriate patient follow-up and care options.Answer questions and provide advice to patients regarding vision and optical issues.Deliver outstanding customer service through all patient interactions.Direct staff and assist in the development of the overall practice.Record results of visits in electronic charts.KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:Applied understanding of general principles of optometry and best practices for the diagnosis and treatment of eye-related disorders and conditionsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to patients of diverse backgroundsExcellent customer service skillsAbility to maintain patient confidentialityGeneral computer proficiencyDemonstrated problem solving skills and multitasking abilityEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry programActive state optometry licenseValid CPR certificateYou should consider us for your next place of employment.
