You will have exposure to cutting-edge technology and groundbreaking medical research.Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, DC is hiring for a Proton Radiation Therapist.Schedule:Monday - Friday7-3:30/8-4:30/9-5:30Pay Range: $55 - $62ResponsibilitiesThe Proton/Photon Radiation Oncology Therapist provides high-quality radiation therapy care to patients and their families in Radiation Oncology. The therapist is part of a specialized team caring for radiation oncology patients at Sibley.Implements, documents, and administers radiation to patients, monitoring clinical and psychosocial needs and responses to therapyProvides education and psychosocial support to patients and familiesPrepares and applies ionizing radiation according to the prescription and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist, under the supervision of the Manager and Lead TherapistOperates all Radiation Oncology equipment, including CT simulators, linear accelerators, QA dosimeters, diode systems, and related computer equipmentQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredARRT certification requiredBLS certification requiredMinimum of 2 years proton experience highly preferredJohns Hopkins Health System and its affiliates are an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employers.
