Let’s run there together.Your JobYou will lead the team responsible for the overall strategic technology roadmap for major applications used in the planning, design, development and marketing of Brooks’ products, including Product Information Management (PIM) and Product Lifecycle Management (FlexPLM), as well as other SaaS solutions that support the Brooks product teams including both Footwear and Apparel. In this role you will lead your team to manage the overall technology relationship with our vendor partners, identify and ensure enhancements are delivered successfully as well as ensure production service levels are met. In addition, you will build and grow business partnerships to represent the overall technological relationship with our Apparel and Footwear teams.Your ResponsibilitiesPeople LeadershipLead, mentor and coach a team who manage Brooks’ product applicationsHire, develop, and manage the performance of the team using Brooks’ HR processesArchitect the appropriate organization model to meet the business needsMember of the Information Technology leadership teamCreate a service-oriented, highly collaborative cultureTechnology LeadershipDefine the technology roadmap for business applications in your areaOwn the lifecycle of the technology in your area including planning, design, implementation, testing, support and enhancement of business applications and the selection of new ones as applicableCollaborate with business leaders to understand systems requirements, specifications, costs and timelines; manage intake, acceptance criteria and prioritization of stakeholder requests with clear business communications and coordination with the technical delivery teamManage teamwork assignments and timelinesEnsure system gaps or deficiencies are addressed and root causes of issues are resolvedManage relationships with technology vendors; work with Legal and Information Security during procurement for new products and vendorsCollaborate with Information Security to ensure applications are secure and compliant with security and privacy requirements such as PCI and GDPRManage relationships with technology providers and develop new relationships for changing business needsMake recommendations for purchase of technology resources, review and negotiate contracts, and ensure vendor performanceResearch current and potential resources and services to meet technology roadmap deliverablesEnsure applications adhere to internal and external compliance standardsEnsure documentation is developed and maintained including functional specifications, technical specifications, data interfaces, and standard operating proceduresBudget ManagementManage the operational and capital budgets and reforecasts for your area and contribute to the overall IT budgetOperate to planned budget to ensure department and company goals are metLearn Brooks requirements around budget planning and capex documentation to garner resources necessary to evolve the company’s solutionsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or relevant major. Additional higher education and/or technical certifications a plus!10+ years of relevant experience implementing, configuring/customizing and maintaining IT applications5+ years of proven success leading and mentoring a team of individuals in a fast-paced, demanding environmentPreferred: Experience with Product Lifecycle Management technology and technology used for design, engineering and research and developmentStrategic thinking and planning capabilityHigh degree of analytic capability and inductive thinking for solving highly intricate, technically complex problemsExperience helping define business requirements and evaluating proposed technical solutionsExperience working in a global environment with colleagues from different cultures and backgroundsComfortable with Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid development methodologiesStrong organizational, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skillsExcellent communication, facilitation and negotiation skills; ability to persuade through fact-based reasoningExcellent interpersonal skills that inspire trust across all levels of the companyAbility to adapt to changing prioritiesCertifications in Project Management, Agile, and ITIL a plusAbility to understand and empathize with runners to develop loyal, engaging relationships with customers and the Brooks communityEmbraces and lives the Brooks valuesCompensationThe pay range for this position, based out of the Brooks Seattle HQ, is $142,253 - $227,605 per year.
