The General Manager is responsible for all aspects of the operations at the Resort, including day-to-day staff management and guest relations. This role involves providing leadership and strategic planning across all departments to support our service culture, emphasizing operational excellence and guest satisfaction. The General Manager works closely with Owners and Board Members.What you're great at:Overseeing the resort's operational functionsProcessing and submitting payroll to Human ResourcesHolding regular briefings and meetings with department heads. Managing all departments and working closely with their leaders. Handling guest complaints and taking ownership of guest satisfaction. Covering various departments as needed, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance.Ensuring compliance with operating controls, SOPs, policies, procedures, and service standardsLeading key property issues, including capital projects, customer service, and refurbishmentHandling complaints and overseeing service recovery proceduresManaging the resort's Annual Operating Budget, Marketing and Sales Plan, and Capital Budget. Ensuring profitability, revenue, and guest satisfaction targets are met or exceeded. Developing strategic goals and implementing cost-saving measures.Making decisions in the best interest of the resort and managementMaintaining a strong understanding of P&L statements and reacting with impactful strategiesEnsuring monthly financial outlooks are on target. Preparing financial reports for Owners and the Board. Developing revenue and cost plans.Providing effective leadership to all resort team membersResponding to audits and ensuring continuous improvementSafeguarding operational quality, legal compliance, occupational health and safety, fire regulations, and other legal requirementsTraveling as needed for offsite training and new business transitions (approximately 1-2 weeks per assignment)Note: Responsibilities may vary by location.
