OverviewRetro Fitness Is seeking a General Manager to enhance the competencies of our Raritan location by working to boost club performance in alignment with brand standards and core values. You will be immersed in the Retro Operations culture to fully develop professionally and financially.“We are a results driven facility with many different membership options to fit your specific fitness goals.”ResponsibilitiesManaging the club's revenue and expense goals.Maintain Retro Fitness’s high level of customer service.Responsible for handling member and employee issues in a professional and timely manner.Lead hiring, training, motivating, directing, coaching and evaluating all club employees.Maximize member retention by ensuring high levels of customer service and cleanliness of the club.Manage the Front Desk, Personal Training and Maintenance staff to ensure policies and procedures as outlined in the Operations Manual are followed at all times.Create and maintain schedules for the Front Desk, Child Sitting, and Maintenance staff.Ensure all staff are wearing proper attire.Monitor all websites provided by Management on a daily basis.Manage all aspects of inventory; entering, ordering, reconciling incoming merchandise, etc.Set daily goals for Club and Assistant Manager on all profit centers.Perform any other duties as assigned by the facility manager.QualificationsExperience in all aspects of membership sales.Experience in handling high level customer service with a variety of audiences.Experience in hiring, firing, evaluating, managing, motivating employees.Experience in training, teaching or coaching employees.Sound decision making and organizational skills.Ability to present information to a variety of audiences and group sizes.Experienced and comfortable with computers; Proficiency in MS Office/Office 365.Degree in Business or Fitness related field - preferred.Prior experience in fitness club management or personal training - preferred.Bonus consideration for Spanish language proficiency.Perks & Other InformationWith more than 120 gyms open or under development across the US, Retro Fitness offers multiple fitness experiences under one roof.
