President & CEO Position DescriptionJune 18, 2025Location: Powell, Ohio | Reports to: Board of DirectorsStatus: Full-Time | Compensation: Base Salary: $150,000–$170,000 + performance-based bonusIntroductionFounded in 1992, Adaptive Sports Connection (ASC) is a 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to servingchildren, veterans and adults with disabilities through outdoor and therapeutic recreation and education.The mission of the organization is:“To break through limitations with adaptive innovation, ensuringpeople of all abilities the health benefits, freedom and sense of belongingfrom recreation, education and outdoor experiences.”Today, the organization stands at a powerful inflection point, entering this next chapter with thriving andgrowing programs, the completion of a successful $10 million comprehensive campaign to build anAdventure and Wellness Lodge in Powell, Ohio, and a strong foundation built by a committed team,engaged board, and a passionate network of volunteers and donors.Adaptive Sports Connection (ASC) is seeking a visionary, mission-driven President & CEO to lead theorganization into an exciting new chapter of growth, innovation, and impact. This leadership opportunityarises from a planned and thoughtful transition, as long-time President & CEO Sharon Bucey moves intoa newly created Strategic Advisor role in January 2026. In this capacity, she will focus on advancing keyinitiatives, cultivating strategic partnerships, and ensuring long-term sustainability for ASC.With a strong foundation, dedicated team, and growing community support, Adaptive Sports Connectionis poised for transformative growth. The next President & CEO will have a unique opportunity to build onASC’s momentum, shape the organization’s strategic future, and expand its reach and impact for years tocome.Position OverviewThe President & CEO will be the strategic and operational leader of Adaptive Sports Connection, drivingvision, overseeing programs, managing staff and financials, and serving as the organization’s keyspokesperson and relationship-builder.
