Job Overview The General Manager (GM) plays a critical leadership role in driving the success of a store. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations to ensure an exceptional guest experience, efficient team performance, and achievement of financial goals. The GM leads by example, demonstrating operational excellence, outstanding guest service, and strong team management to create a positive work environment and promote the brand's values. Duties & Responsibilities Assumes full accountability for store operations, decision-making, and issues resolution. Ensures a member of management is in the store at any given time. Analyzes sales, costs, and profits to optimize performance and monitor trends. Monitors and control labor, food costs, and other expenses to meet financial goals and posts store invoices in restaurant management system. Creates and implements business strategies and goals for the restaurant. Maintains overall sanitation, health, cleanliness, and safety standards for food preparation areas, cooking services, and dishes and utensils for the duration of the shift. Hires, trains, mentors, and evaluates team members providing regular feedback to improve performance. Collaborates with team and other departments to create, lead, and maintain an inclusive, positive, and safe workplace for staff and guests. Conducts regular one-on-ones and team meetings with store personnel. Responsible for maintaining accurate and timely records of the team member's performance, conduct, improvement, and other relevant aspects of their work. Provides development and growth opportunities for team members. Engages and promotes excellent team and interpersonal communication, as well as guest service skills and professionally handles guest complaints. Prepares batches of food that are cooked to order or kept warm frequently. Operates large-volume cooking equipment such as grills and/or deep fryers frequently. Prepares, washes, and cuts food to be cooked frequently. Multitasks by cooking several different orders at once, ensuring that all items are prepared to standards. Operates batch machine to produce eegees, ensuring product quality and safety. Clean areas and equipment as needed. Stay informed about market trends, competitors, and opportunities to enhance competitive positioning. Any other responsibility that aligns with the role. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to work under pressure and multi-task. Ability to accept responsibility and be accountable for your actions with integrity. Proficient in Microsoft Office and restaurant management software. Ability to efficiently communicate to create interpersonal relationships and provide excellent guest service. Ability to provide strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving. Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently. Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent. At least two (2) years of direct experience in fast food/restaurant management; or a combination of education and experience. Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently. Must have reliable transportation. Must achieve Food Protection Manager certification within 90 days of hire and maintain. Physical Demands Must be able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays to include five (5) lunch and two (2) dinner shifts per week. Work around hot equipment, oil, extreme cold (walk-in freezer), loud noises for the duration of shift. Must be able to remain standing for the duration, excluding breaks. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Perform physical activities that require considerable use of hands, wrists, fingers, arms, legs, and bending at the waist (climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials) for the duration of shift. Use of cognitive skills including, but not limited to, learning, remembering, focusing, categorizing, and integrating information for decision making, problem-solving, and comprehending for the duration of shift.
