The mission of Pennyrile Allied Community Services, Inc. is to empower individuals to become self-reliant through assistance, education, and accountability.Participate in training and certification activities to gain understanding of all facets of the KYNECT portal and programAssist consumers in understanding insurance choices, federal tax subsidies, public plans, plan benefits, co-payments, and other cost-sharing expensesFacilitate selection of a Qualified Health Plan ensuring that only consumers make decisions about in which plan to enrollUpdate job knowledge by participating in educational opportunitiesMaintain expertise in eligibility, enrollment, and program specificationsConduct public education activities to raise awareness about the programProvide information and services in a fair, accurate, and impartial manner. Such information must acknowledge other health programs such as Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).Provide referrals to any applicable office of health insurance consumer assistance or health insurance ombudsman or any other appropriate state agency or agencies, for any enrollee with a grievance, complaint, or question regarding their health plan, coverage or a determination under such a plan or coverageProvide information in a manner that is culturally and linguistically appropriate to the needs of the population being served by the program, including individuals with limited English proficiency, using available tools such as fact sheets, and functions for individuals with disabilities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation ActRespond to customer inquiries by confirming understanding of each inquiry, gathering and researching information, assembling and providing information, and verifying the customer’s understanding of the information and answerMaintain reports and records as required regarding services performed and individuals assistedRequirementsStrong computer skillsExcellent communication skills both written and verbalReliable transportation and drivers license,Must be able to successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug screenEducationHS diploma or equivalentPennyrile Allied Community Services, Inc. provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
