F&B Administration - Director of Food & BeverageThe Meritage Resort & Spa, Napa, California, United States of AmericaJob DescriptionPosted Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at 7:00 AMDirector of Food & BeverageThe Meritage Resort | Napa, CaliforniaReports to: General ManagerPosition SummaryThe Meritage Resort in Napa Valley is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Director of Food & Beverage to lead and elevate a broad, dynamic F&B operation.This role oversees a diverse portfolio that includes two full-service restaurants, two cafes, two bars, a mobile food truck program, high-volume banquets and catering, and an on-site concert series. The Director will lead both front-of-house and culinary teams, with a focus on driving revenue, enhancing guest experiences, maintaining cost control, and fostering a strong team culture.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic LeadershipDevelop and execute a comprehensive food and beverage strategy aligned with resort goalsIdentify opportunities to innovate menus, concepts, and guest experiences across all outletsCollaborate with Marketing to increase visibility and engagement with concerts, culinary events, and food truck activationsOperational OversightManage daily operations across all venues, including restaurants, bars, cafes, catering, and mobile unitsMaintain high standards of service, food quality, safety, and brand consistencyImplement systems to improve efficiency, optimize labor, and ensure consistency across offeringsCreate and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and financial reportsControl labor, food, and beverage costs while maximizing profitabilityOversee vendor relationships and procurement strategies to balance quality and expenseLead and develop a multi-disciplinary team across front-of-house and culinary operationsMentor department leaders with clear performance goals and development plansFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementGuest ExperienceAct as the face of all food and beverage offeringsPromote a guest-focused service culture reflective of the Napa Valley regionWork closely with other departments—Rooms, Spa, Sales, and Events—to ensure seamless guest experiencesConcert Series and EventsPartner with event producers and the marketing team to grow the on-site concert seriesOversee food and beverage planning, staffing, and execution for concerts and private eventsEnsure activations are both revenue-positive and aligned with guest satisfaction and safetyQualifications7+ years of progressive F&B leadership experience, ideally within hotels, resorts, or high-volume venuesProven success managing multiple outlets and large-scale banquet operationsStrong leadership skills in both culinary and FOH environmentsHigh level of financial acumen, including budget creation and cost controlExperience with entertainment-based events or large-scale activations preferredCommitted to guest satisfaction, team development, and sustainable business practicesDegree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or Business preferredThe Meritage Resort & Spa, Napa, California, United States of America #J-18808-Ljbffr
