Solar Field Service Regional Lead (Luning, NV) page is loadedSolar Field Service Regional Lead (Luning, NV)Apply locations Field Luning NV time type Full time posted on Posted 2 Days Ago job requisition id J11906SOLV Energyis an engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) and solar services provider for utility solar, high voltage substation and energy storage markets across North America.Job Description Summary:Job Description:*This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assignedPosition Responsibilities and Duties:Stresses the importance that safety is the most important function, ensuring that all employees follow safe practices while workingAble to perform all essential Field Service Technician Levels 1-4 job responsibilitiesPreform, direct, and supervise site maintenance, repair, troubleshooting as directed by management, adhering to company and industry safety standardsEnsure a safe working environment through strict adherence to and enforcement of company and industry safety standardsImplement repairs to unfamiliar solar equipment, systems and plants with a minimum amount of training and familiarization safelyDirect and take responsibility for safety regulations and work procedures for the teamUnderstand, follow and communicate safety regulations and work proceduresSupervise and provide ongoing training for Solar Technician Level I, II, III, and IV employeesPrepare timely and accurate documentation and required reports related to site operationAssessing and suggest improved processes, collaborate on new technologies, and coordinate with EPC management regarding the implementation of these improvementsUphold diversity and inclusion as an unconscious part of SOLV Energy culture.Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or equivalent, Vocational/Technical School training a plusMinimum four years of experience in solar facility maintenance and repairDemonstrate advanced computer operation skills and ability to operate system monitoring applicationsAdvanced working knowledge of solar systems/plants, protection devices, control devices, power supplies, loads, conductors, inverters and transformersAbility to troubleshoot network and telemetry issuesAbility to pass an exam on international and domestic electrical schematics and symbolsAbility to pass an exam on electrical troubleshootingAbility to pass an exam on reading and interpreting hydraulic and pneumatic diagramsEffective computer operation skills and ability to operate system monitoring applicationsValid OSHA 30 certificationValid NFPA 70e Safety Training certificationRemain Current in all safety and technical trainingsDemonstrated ability to be self-sufficient and safe under any conditionsEffective verbal and written English language communication skillsEffective organizational skillsTo work well with PM, management, OCC, HV, SCADA, Performance, Networking/IT, Compliance teamsAbility to work at remote locations in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, inclement weather)Ability to work on an “on call” basis (may include weekends or after-hours situations)Ability to work with other techs to be able to complete tasks with these team membersValid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record and ability to operate company vehicleAbility to assess safety items and issue Stop Work if concerns are raisedAdditional Skills or Experience Requirements:Ability to do monthly reporting for both maintenance reports and performance reportsAbility to create and adhere to site specific schedulesTo know complete site scope and contractAbility to prioritize levels of response to issues across the numerous plants in the region, and determine most effective use of resources availableWork with the Performance teams to know and meet availability guarantees, and build risk management strategies to mitigate any shortfallsTo interact with various Asset managers and owner’s reps, such as creating and running conference calls, onsite meetings, as well as keeping them effectively connected with the operation of their facilitiesTake ownership of the facilities they oversee, being able to field owner questions and concerns providing assurance of services renderedAbility to provide detailed costs and services needed to the PM teams for pricing so they can make accurate estimates/PCI’s to ownersAbility to find and work with various vendors, as well as understanding the scopes requested.
