General NeurologistThe department of Neurology has an exciting opportunity. The incumbent will be appointed at the rank of non-tenure earning Assistant Professor Level, on the clinical educator track in The General Neurology Division, Department of Neurology at the University of Miami School of Medicine. The incumbent will carry out clinical care primarily providing outpatient clinical care at Neurology satellite clinics. Will participate in the education of neurology residents and fellows along with conducting research and mentoring residents/fellows with their research.ResponsibilitiesTreatment and prevention of neurological disease, specializing in the treatment and Care for patients of general neurologic disorders in the outpatient settings throughout UHealthTrain/mentor residents and fellows to increase their clinical fund of knowledge and interest/success with academic researchPreparation and presentation at teaching conferencesObtain data and results that can be used to submit an application for future clinical research awardsProvide coverage on new inpatient service as neededMinimum QualificationsRequires an MD degree from a recognized accredited University (or foreign equivalent).General Neurology Fellowship is preferred, and Neurology board certification is strongly recommended.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesGood communications skills (face to face, over the phone and in writing)Excellent customer service skills; Ability to work collaboratively with other employees.Good organizational skills.Contact InformationRecruiter: Carol Darling, #J-18808-Ljbffr
