Overview Job Description: This job is full-time, which means you will work 7.5 shifts that are each 24 hours long each month. We can also consider someone who wants to work at least 5.5 shifts each month (you will still get benefits). We are looking for someone who has a Texas medical license and can start working soon. You will manage a delivery caseload with a C-section rate of 40%. You will oversee unscheduled outpatient visits for expectant mothers each year. You will conduct consultations for OBED each year. You will work together with neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners in a Level II NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit). You will speak with specialists to manage high-risk pregnancies. Your tasks will include OB triage, hospital admissions, attending deliveries, and caring for patients in the hospital. You will care for patients who don’t have a doctor assigned to them and help with private call coverage. You will cover the maternity floor and respond to emergency cases related to gynecology. You will help during surgeries like Cesarean sections. You will respond to emergencies in the delivery unit. Qualifications You must be Board Eligible (within 5 years after residency) or Board Certified in OB/GYN – THIS IS REQUIRED. You need an active Texas medical license (or you should be in the process of getting it) – THIS IS REQUIRED. A clean record with no malpractice and license issues is highly preferred.
