OverviewBC/BE Pediatric Hospitalist - ED & Nursery - St. Louis Metro AreaJob Highlights:PRN, Part Time, or Full TimeLarge Pediatric GroupProvide Pediatric ED coverageRound on newbornsAttend c-sections/deliveriesNRP Certification12 hr shifts day/nightLocations throughout the St. Louis Metropolitan areaResponsibilitiesThe physician shall provide pediatric services to patients at designated hospital(s) or at other Program Sites as determined by the Program ply with all hospital bylaws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures and those of any Program Site where services are performed.Admission, management, and discharge of pediatric patients in conjunction with attending physicians (no long-term inpatient care).Evaluate patients and perform procedures as deemed appropriate by the Glennon Care Pediatrics Medical Director.Respond to requests from facility Emergency Department for patient evaluation and treatment.Attend high-risk deliveries in the Program Site labor and delivery room; attend normal deliveries if requested, subject to patient acuity.Be available during scheduled shifts to provide care to neonates in the nursery and consult with the neonatologist as appropriate.Respond to pediatric consults from other departments.Collaborate with advanced practice nurses (APNs) as needed and with Program team to ensure continuity and timeliness of care.QualificationsBoard Certification/Eligibility in Pediatrics (BC/BE).NRP Certification required.Experience with pediatric ED coverage and newborn rounding preferred.About the EmployerSSM Health St. Clare Hospital - Fenton is a Level I Time-Critical Diagnosis STEMI Center and a Level I Stroke Center serving the southwest St. Louis County community.
