We invite experienced Hematology/Oncology APPs to discover all that we can do when we bring healing hearts, inquisitive minds, and progressive visionaries together at Levine Cancer Institute - Pineville Heme/Onc Consult Service.With more than 25 cancer care locations, we provide access to top-ranked physician expertise, groundbreaking clinical trials and the latest cancer treatments across the Carolinas.Position Details:Inpatient Weekender APP rolePerform medical history, physical exam, document findings and plan of care in timely mannerOrder and interpret laboratory and radiographic testingSupport inpatients receiving chemotherapyDetermine treatment plans with supervision of Attending PhysicianAttend, participate in and contribute to group/practice meetings, development of policies and procedures, quality improvement initiativesSchedule consists of 4 days/10-hour shift Friday-MondayEligible for PTO and Performance Incentive bonuses; $2500/1 week of CMEThis APP functions in the inpatient weekender Heme/Onc Consult Service and demonstrates appropriate critical thinking and interpersonal skills when working in a fast paced, high acuity work environment. Works well with multidisciplinary team. Qualified candidates will be able to perform thorough history and physical assessment.Ideal Candidate:At least 1 year of experience in hematology/oncology working as an APPEffective communication (written and verbal)Willingness to collaborate closely with clinical teamCurrent on best practice and standards of careDisplays self-initiative to learnPosition Qualifications:Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program. Current license to practice as an NP or PA in North Carolina. Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license required. BLS for healthcare provided from a required.Nurse practitioners required to have Master's degree or Doctorate in nursing practice.Physician Assistants with certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred.
