ChristianaCare Obstetrics & Gynecology at Elkton is looking for an Office Assistant.ChristianaCare Obstetrics & Gynecology at Elkton is located at 137 West High Street, Suite 3B in Elkton, Maryland. ChristianaCare Obstetrics & Gynecology at Elkton provides specialized care before, during and after pregnancy. Our physicians also treat a range of conditions affecting women’s reproductive system and overall health, such as breast and cervical cancers, anemia, depression, hormone imbalance, incontinence, osteoporosis, ovarian cysts/cancer, sexually transmitted diseases, and urinary tract infections. See an average of 40 to 70 patients daily.You will join a fantastic team of physicians, advanced practice clinicians, licensed practical nurse, and medical assistants.Work ScheduleMonday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm.Duties / ResponsibilitiesAs an office assistant you will be involved with scheduling appointments, interacting with patients professionally, and ensuring patient confidentiality.Collecting demographic and financial information, processing referrals, and verifying insurance reimbursement volved in day-end reconciliation of appointments and payments received.Answer phone calls professionally, relay messages to providers, and communicate with providers and staff through electronic medical records (EMR).Keep patients informed about issues and facilitate tests, labs, and appointments.Prepare medical records, research issues, and respond to patients professionally.Assist with administrative tasks and adhere to departmental safety pensation / BenefitsFull Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, etc.Two retirement planning offerings, including 403(b) with company contributions.Generous paid time off with annual roll-over and opportunities to cash out.12 weeks paid parental leave.Tuition assistanceIncredible Work/Life benefits including annual membership to , access to backup care services for dependents through Care@Work, retirement planning services, financial coaching, fitness and wellness reimbursement, and great discounts through several vendors for hotels, rental cars, theme parks, shows, sporting events, movie tickets, insurance and much more!Education RequirementsHigh School Graduate or GED required.Medical receptionist or medical assistant degree preferred but not required.Experience in a medical office setting or customer service environment is preferred but not required.Strengths and QualitiesAttention to detail.AdaptabilityExcellent communication skillsOrganizationProblem-solvingWhen we lead with love, excellence is inevitable.#LI-HB1Hourly Pay Range: $17.32 - $25.12This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
