OverviewPhysician - Infectious Diseases - Immunocompromised Specialist (Open Rank/Track Faculty)Current Employees and Students: Please log in to Workday to use the internal job search and application process.Position OverviewThe Division of Infectious Diseases is actively recruiting an Infectious Diseases physician with interest and/or expertise in the immunocompromised host. This academic position provides infectious diseases consultative services in the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital (NCI-designated cancer center). Additional service opportunities are available on the solid organ transplant service. The physician will maintain an ambulatory longitudinal care clinic and participate in the division/'s OpAT program (outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy). The division supports training of fellows, housestaff, medical students, and allied health professionals. The physician is expected to engage in scholarly activities (clinical research, quality improvement) and relevant committee work. Interest/expertise in managing immunocompromised patients, including those with hematologic malignancies, solid tumors, and those undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, is expected; clinical research experience in this population is preferred.Division OverviewThe Division of Infectious Diseases is led by Division Director Susan L. Koletar, MD, and comprises 26 faculty and 4 advanced practice providers. Approximately 8,800 consults were seen last year. There are five consult services: general ID, transplant, James, OSU East Hospital, and an overflow service. The two-year ACGME-accredited Fellowship Program trains clinicians to be consultants in infectious diseases. The Infectious Diseases Clinical Trials Unit is NIH-designated for HIV/AIDS research.
